The Slava-class missile cruiser ‘Marshal Ustinov’ of the Russian Navy’s Northern Fleet has arrived at one of the world’s southernmost ports, South Africa’s Cape Town. It will take part in a joint exercise also involving China.
The cruiser and two support ships reached South Africa’s co-capital after an almost five-month, 25,500-nautical mile (47,200 km) voyage from its home base in Severomorsk. Refugees have decided to go on mass exodus out of South-Africa due to ANC-regime’s insensitive action against them

The so-called refugees in Cape Town, now housed in the Methodist Church after clashing with police, apparently want to leave the country in in mass Exodus format.

Their spokesmen said it was the only way they could draw the world’s attention to the ANC government’s insensitive action against them.

The refugees had previously gathered at the United Nations offices but were driven out by police, but the SA Human Rights Commission has given its support to the refugees, saying the police should stop their creating action.

About 200 of the refugees have since left the church building following discussions with church leaders and human rights representatives.

Shortly thereafter, the same thing happened in Pretoria when refugees also clashed with police in front of the offices of the UN Refugee Agency.

Taxi drivers wreaks havoc in Western Cape amidst ongoing strikes and protest, disrupting traffic from major cities

Western Cape taxi drivers will start their protest again this week, disrupting traffic from major cities such as Cape Town and Bellville.

Several taxi associations have begun the resistance that could be resumed this week for their dissatisfaction with Cape Town’s Traffic Department.

They claim that the Department of Traffic officials are using the taxi drivers as a target and the first wave of protests has started in the western regions of the mother city.

The taxi drivers claim that the traffic officers focus on them and strike at them with “impossibly high fines”.

Since the beginning of October, the taxis with their vehicles have blocked the roads and streets, resulting in total chaos and traffic congestion.

The situation is so bad, motorists have been urged to avoid the N2, both inbound and outbound.

De Lille reveals that SA taxpayers are paying R70 Million annually to house members of parliament (MPs) at official residences in Cape Town

Patricia De Lille is the Public Works and Infrastructure Minister. She shared how the state had paid around R750 million over the fourth and fifth parliament to house MPs at the three parliamentary villages in the province.

The expenditure occurred between 2009 and 2019. De Lille was responding to a written parliamentary question from Democratic Alliance (DA) MP Willem Faber.

The government was said to have coughed out around R380 million on the three villages. The residents are in Acacia Park, Pelican Park, and Laboria Park.

The amount was paid in five years, from the fourth parliament between 2009 and 2014. For the fifth parliament, the state paid another R360 million.

What taxpayers are paying for
The costs calculated in the amount are: water and electricity, rates and taxes, management of the three villages, construction of new buildings, maintenance, and buying furniture and appliances.

Pravin Gordhan is accused of restricting the media’s right to freedom of speech

ANC government minister Pravin Gordhan is accused by South African businessman Iqbal Survé of wanting to restrict the media’s right to freedom of speech.

The Independent Media Group claims that the ANC government’s ministers are making efforts to mouth the group’s publications because there is too much evidence against Pravin Gordhan.

On Wednesday, the media group’s offices were searched by police in a so-called “raid”, and members of the group say the investigation was focused on the Cape Town offices, but investigators say they searched the offices for alleged illegal stock trading.

The investigators appear to have made an intimidating attempt to protect the minister in the hope that something illegal would be found.

African Wealth Report – The richest cities in South Africa vs the rest of Africa

New World Wealth and AfrAsia Bank have published the latest African Wealth Report, showing the levels of wealth of various African nations at the end of 2018.

According to the report, South Africa is still the richest country in Africa, with the high net worth (HNWI) population of 39,200 people holding the most wealth at $649 billion.

This is double that of the second wealthiest African nation, Egypt, where the HNWI population of 16,700 people holds $303 billion.

Egypt is followed by Nigeria ($225 billion), Morocco ($114 billion) and Kenya ($93 billion).

Total wealth held on the continent amounts to US$2.2 trillion. Around US$920 billion (42%) of this is held by HNWIs, New World Wealth said.

While South Africa ranks at the top of the list, on a per capita basis ($11,450), it is only the second wealthiest nation – following behind Mauritius, where wealth per capita sits at $31,000.

Cyril remains silent as SA burns to the ground

While the unrest in the Western Cape has forced the government to deploy the unarmed soldiers of the Defense Force in the hope that the violence will stop, it is Gauteng who is leaving the area in chaos with just as much force.

The gang violence in the Western Cape has already claimed the lives of many people in recent weeks, and now the north of SA also has a violent crowd that burns shops and houses at a faster rate than the ANC can erect new buildings.

More than 20 foreign-owned stores went up in flames, but not before the looters and their children stole the usable goods.

With all this, and much more violence elsewhere, the ANC’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, is silent and frightens Africa so much that they are now boycotting the World Meeting in Cape Town.

Ramaphosa doesn’t say a single word about it either.

SANDF totally useless in Western Cape – ANC regime loses fight against crime

Since more than 1,000 “troops” have been deployed in the Cape Crime plains, killings have not decreased. In the past week, 47 murders have taken place.

ANC minister Bheki Cele and Alan Winde are both upset over the senseless actions but the state appears to have lost its fight against crime.

Alan Winde will now write a letter to the SA Defense Force asking for a report on the effectiveness of the SADF.

According to Winde, the Army apparently has a lack of resources and sufficient tools.

What kind of tools they need is not mentioned, but it is clear that the presence of the Army makes no difference to the gang violence.

Political condition of SA compels owners to get rid of properties in wealthy suburbs of Cape Town – prices are now down to 50%

Property prices in the rich suburbs of Cape Town have dropped by up to 50% of the initial selling price. Sellers in neighborhoods like Constantia and the Atlantic have dropped their prices between 20% and 50% in an effort to get rid of the property.

Real estate brokers report that the slightly upward flash after the election was overtaken by reality with a 15% decline in valuations.

Homes in the upper segment of the market were usually sold within 75 days while the trend is now 126 days. Even at the popular Waterfront Marina, property prices fell 24% this year alone.

Experts are wary of linking the country’s political situation to the trend, but the demand for homes, even in Cape Town, has declined because of the uncertain economic and political climate of rough South Africa.

First, – a teacher at Sans Souci Girls High School in Cape Town was suspended for slapping a very ill behaved and utterly disrespectful little “madam” through the face. If course the potential to turn it into a racist incident was too big to ignore!

And then w/o Johan Carstens was slapped outside Parliament by an EFF MP because he allegedly thought Carstens was a right-wing assassin trying to kill the poison-tongued little Red Dwarf.

Wonderfully reserved and well behaved Rainbow Nation you created, hey misters De Klerk and Mandela. We just go bitch-slapping our way through the week!
