#EndCadreDeployment – The official opposition, the Democratic Alliance (DA), wrote to the Acting Speaker of the National Assembly, Lechesa Tsenoli, calling for a Parliamentary debate on the socialist cadre deployment program, implemented by the African National Congress (ANC), because they believe it led to the collapse of the state. They stressed this request is a matter of national importance.

According to the DA, the blame must also be laid at the feet of Cyril Ramaphosa, who was the chairman of the ANC’s cadre deployment committee during Jacob Zuma’s term.

#EndCadreDeployment Die amptelike opposisie, die Demokratiese Alliansie (DA), het aan die waarnemende speaker van die nasionale vergadering, Lechesa Tsenoli, geskryf en gevra vir ‘n parlementêre debat oor die sosialistiese kaderontplooiing wat deur die African National Congress (ANC) toegepas word, omdat hulle glo dit het gelei tot die ineenstorting van die staat. Hulle het hierdie versoek as ‘n saak van nasionale belang beklemtoon.

The Auditor General’s (AG) report for the 2018/19 financial year, which reads like a crime novel, found that the Bloemfontein Metro had R2 BILLION wasted on corruption and spent R 268 Million more than it earned, and that it owes creditors R135 Million more than what it’s  assets are worth. But it seems that’s all OK, because ANC stands for Africans Normalising Crime.

Face of new DA leadership set to be all white with Steenhuisen taking position of Parliamentary leader

The Sunday Times is reporting that the Democratic Alliance (DA) is set to have a new all white leadership following several resignations including those of two prominent black members.

The publication said supporters of new federal chair Helen Zille are planning a clean sweep as it grapples with a leaderless organisation.

Last week was grim for the official opposition when it’s now ex leader Mmusi Maimane, former Nelson Mandela Bay mayor Athol Trollip, chief executive officer (CEO) Paul Boughey and Herman Mashaba resigned from the party.

This came days after Zille’s come back to the party’s powerful position of federal council chair.

The paper is reporting that insiders in the DA said the vacant positions look set to be filled members who are close to the new federal council chair.

In two incoherent resignation speeches in 2 days that rocked the party Herman Mashaba first resigned as a DA member and Johannesburg mayor and then DA leader Mmusi Maimane left many people baffled on Wednesday as he thrashed the DA as against transformation and deeming it as ” not the vehicle best suited to take forward the vision of building One South Africa for All ” -but still opting to remain a member of the party that he now so clearly disagrees with and is so unhappy in.

He baffled the mind also by deciding to still remain the Parliamentary leader of the party until the end of the year. That leaves one wondering why Maimane would still want to be part of a party that he had been thrashing for a while now .

De Lille reveals that SA taxpayers are paying R70 Million annually to house members of parliament (MPs) at official residences in Cape Town

Patricia De Lille is the Public Works and Infrastructure Minister. She shared how the state had paid around R750 million over the fourth and fifth parliament to house MPs at the three parliamentary villages in the province.

The expenditure occurred between 2009 and 2019. De Lille was responding to a written parliamentary question from Democratic Alliance (DA) MP Willem Faber.

The government was said to have coughed out around R380 million on the three villages. The residents are in Acacia Park, Pelican Park, and Laboria Park.

The amount was paid in five years, from the fourth parliament between 2009 and 2014. For the fifth parliament, the state paid another R360 million.

What taxpayers are paying for
The costs calculated in the amount are: water and electricity, rates and taxes, management of the three villages, construction of new buildings, maintenance, and buying furniture and appliances.

The Schweizer Reneke school photograph incident rocked South Africa. And the preposterous action of suspending a teacher (telephonically, mind you!) AFTER evidence came to light that there WAS NO racism because ONE picture out of THREE were taken out context, makes it even more outrageous.

The situation got a human face when an emotional Elana Barkhuizen pleaded for justice saying that she is basically a mother and an educator with a spotless reputation and record and that politics and politicians are ruthlessly destroying her life, trampling on the well-being of innocent children and tainting the reputation of an excellent school.

And rightly so. The whole story is nothing but filthy, dirty, race obsessed, biased politics. And the guilty, in fact the MOST guilty, is the Democratic Alliance.
