Surely companies that defend a failure to maintain vital IT systems, should not be allowed anywhere near government contracts to support systems serving the people of South Africa? In fact, they should not be allowed any systems at all, but particularly government systems that could be infiltrated such as SARS, IEC, Home Affairs, EVDS, Eskom etc. especially given that SA Court systems are already insecure as SA-News recently reported.

The Chairman of the embattled ANC parastatal Eskom, Malegapuru Makgoba, issued a stern warning to employees who falsely accused their colleagues of racism, and encouraged Eskom staff to think about how these accusations could affect someone’s reputation, and said those who are unsure about what they are complaining about, should rather remain silent.
Makgoba’s comments come during the announcement of Eskom’s annual financial results for the 2020/2021 financial year earlier this week.

Cold weather in winter is self-evident even for animals, but for Eskom it is a surprise? For decades in Apartheid, before the ANC regime was given the then first world country, Eskom supplied whatever was demanded without interruption thanks to good long-term planning and maintenance measures, but now Eskom has warned about electricity faults in KwaZulu-Natal due to cold weather! The question is, is power still quietly being sent to the African #SAPP network, when we are asked to save power, for which we paid dearly with taxes? Koue weer in winter is selfs vir diere vanselfsprekend, maar vir Eskom is dit ‘n verassing? Vir dekades in Apartheid, voor die ANC regime die destydse eerste wêreld land gegee is, het Eskom sonder onderbreking die aanvraag voorsien danksy goeie lang termyn beplanning en onderhoud maatreëls, maar nou het Eskom gewaarsku oor elektrisiteitsfoute in KwaZulu-Natal weens koue weer! It seems that the implementation of cadre deployment and BBBEE practices are still taking their toll on the embattled national power provider. Eskom confirmed on Monday that the Medupi power station had an explosion on the number 4 unit’s generator, at around 22:50 on Sunday night, and that unit 5 also tripped as a result.
No injuries were reported at the plant and all employees and contractors were accounted for, but emergency services did assist seven workers with the necessary treatment for shock.

Dit blyk asof die implementering van kaderontplooing en BSEB -praktyke steeds hul tol eis by die berugte nasionale kragvoorsiener. Eskom het Maandag bevestig dat die Medupi -kragstasie Sondagaand omstreeks 22:50, ‘n ontploffing op die nommer 4 eenheid se kragopwekker beleef het, en dat eenheid 5 ook vermoedelik as gevolg hiervan gestruikel het.
Geen beserings is op die aanleg aangemeld nie en alle werknemers en kontrakteurs het gerapporteer, maar nooddienste het wel sewe werkers gehelp met die nodige behandeling vir skok.
