Police Literally Stealing Food from the Mouths of Children! When racist black South African Police Officers invade the house of a destitute white family, to confiscate their food, one cannot help but think of the forced starvations in USSR like the Holodomor and Lenin’s genocide. After the shocking incidents of abusive treatment of minorities by black Police officers at Ballito and Dwarskersbos, even more shocking incidents have come to light in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, where three racist black Police officers invaded the home of a destitute white family at night and confiscated their food, which had been donated to them shortly before. The food parcel had to be delivered under cover of darkness because the Police don’t allow food donations direct to white people and will arrest people for donating to whites! The hungry grandchildren in the family, 5 and 12 years old, had to watch helplessly as the three black Police officers carried their food away!</p

Children in SA are starving – One out of ten children had to go to bed hungry last year
About 2.1 million children live in households where there is not enough food. Just over a third of these children live in KwaZulu-Natal and another 20% live in Gauteng.
This is among the findings in a report titled “The South African Child Gauge 2019” released earlier. This comprehensive study of the circumstances in which South African children live was conducted by the Children’s Institute of the University of Cape Town, together with Unicef South Africa, the Center for Excellence in Human Development at the University of the Witwatersrand, the Tutu Foundation and Standard Bank. Tutuwa Community Foundation.
The situation has improved since 2002 when 30% of children were starving.
The breadline: Individuals who have to survive on less than R1 183 per month.
“The expansion of child welfare grants to 12 million children in 2018 made the biggest contribution to this decline,” the report states.

According to the latest Household Affordability Index compiled by the Pietermaritzburg Economic Justice and Dignity Group (PMBEJD), more than half of SA’s population live on less than R41 a day.
The September 2019 Household Affordability Index shows that more than half of the population are living on less than R1 230 a month. The Index also shows that a quarter of the population, approximately 13.8 million people, are living on less than R19 a day.
A total of 56% of South Africans (30.4 million people) are living on less than R41 a day.
The group said: “Affordability, in its simplest form, is relative to income levels and the cost of goods and services (expenses). Workers work to support their families. Workers, reasonably expect to cover the costs of goods and services needed for dignity and household functionality off their wages. In most South African households, only one family member works. This one wage must support a reductive avera

Air travellers in SA – Bring your own food, union says, as strike threatens airport catering services
Air travellers in South Africa have been warned to pack lunch boxes as there will be no food or catering services on several airlines as workers are expected to embark on a strike on Monday.
This as the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) warned on Sunday that there would be no food or catering services on several airlines and in airport lounges due to threatened strike action.
“The strike will affect OR Tambo airport, Cape Town international and King Shaka in Durban. We advise that if you intend to fly on certain airlines tomorrow [Monday] please pack a ‘skhaftin’ [lunch box] because there will no food or catering on the flight,” said Numsa spokesperson, Phakamile Hlubi-Majola.
Air Chefs is a subsidiary of SAA.
Airline spokesman Tlali Tlali confirmed a notice to strike had been received, but said contingency plans were in place to ensure there was “minimal to no impact” on operation

Only 36,000 Commercial Farmers left from 72,000 that provide food for 58 million in SA, yet they are hunted and slaughtered like animals, and the ANC regime denies this threat to food security!
Rural safety is falling short in the Free State as well as in the rest of the country. Farmers are being hunted and that creates a situation that is unbearable for farmers and their workers.
A farmer from Oranjeville in the Free State, who was attacked early on Monday morning, is the latest victim in the war that is being waged against our country’s farmers by merciless criminals. The attackers, who fled with the farmer’s Isuzu bakkie, were injured and one was killed when the vehicle overturned.
Rural safety must be a priority for the government. It is not enough to take action after an attack as then it is usually too late. Proper preventative measures must be implemented to stop or thwart such attacks.
The legal system must ensure that farm attackers are removed from society and stricter bail conditions must be set for those who are charged with serious and violent crimes, like farm attacks and murders.

According to Statistics South Africa (SSA), we need R561 to buy food with just enough kilojules to avoid starvation. These households that earn less than the amount are considered as South Africa’s “food poverty line”, or the extreme poverty line.
The amount of R810 is described as the bottom poverty line and you can buy just enough food for yourself, as well as your particle contributing to household expenses in a household living on the food poverty line. This while R1 227 is the amount that puts you at the upper limit of the poverty line.
Network 24 reports that SSA has been issuing a poverty line annually since 2012. The amount is calculated based on the food that many poor households use. The food basket includes very basic foods, such as cornmeal, brown bread, chicken (including head and legs), canned sardine, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, instant coffee, soup powder and sugar.
The aim of the poverty line is to measure extreme pove
