Since Sunday October 18th disturbing reports of farmlands being set alight in what appears to be a well planned strategy have started surfacing on social media in South Africa and escalating, as it continues to occur in more towns of the north western Free State. Up until Tuesday 20th at noon, no mainstream media news reports could be found emanating from any of these platforms even though numerous messages, visuals and voice notes have been sent across open community platforms which include certain emergency support groups.

Leftish DA is falling apart, even the leader has left his flock – Wondering what the future holds for the party
The leftist DA who has just received his leader’s resignation is likely to be further harassed by Maimane, who did not hesitate to accuse the party of being an “ordinary member”.
Maimane said the DA was “not a party for everyone” and thus opened the door to forfeit his position as a member of parliament.
Maimane led the party for four years, and his statement that the party “is not the vehicle best built to build his vision for SA” gives the impression that he will leave the DA at a better time and establish his own party.
Informed sources claim that his remarks were not well received in the DA caucus, and even had negative consequences in the social network.
Maimane has been widely criticized for failing in the general election, and is accused of failing to create a new vision for the DA.

WHO DIDN’T CHECK THE CALENDAR? – Ramaphosa just killed Indaba 2019 – Biggest tourism expo to take place on the general election date
Ramaphosa stood up in Parliament on Thursday and emphasized the importance of tourism. And then he killed 2019 tourism.
When he decided on a general election on 8 May, didn’t any body bother to look at the calendar? Indaba, the biggest tourism expo in South Africa, usually the destination for foreign investors and visitors, takes place on 8 May.
And arrangements are now too far to re-schedule or postpone. Cancelling would cost millions, not only in wasted funds, but in lost revenue.
A number of influential people in the tourism world indicated that they will not be attending this year, on the one hand because they need to be home for voting day, on the other: Why go to the expense of setting up a stall at Indaba if nobody is going to be there?
Ramaphosa just killed Indaba 2019. And the tourism industry will feel the effects. How is it possible that such elementary things cannot be considered while trying to govern a country?
