Planned content for sex education in state-run schools is nothing but “soft porn”

New curriculum that forms part of the Life Orientation course, which is expected to be implemented from Grade 4 to Grade 12 in 2020, involves pupils identifying their genitals in class, commenting on bare pictures used in sex-texting messages, and learning what involves vaginal, oral and anal sex. Minister of Education, Angie Motshekga, has apparently already also approved much of this content.

The content was recently made available to members of parliament and published on the group Freedom of Religion South Africa (FOR). According to this, gr.4 learners will during group discussions, identify their own and their classmates’ sexual parts . Gr. 5’s will learn about homosexual molestation and sexual assault and grade 6s will be asked what they think of photos of naked people sent in Whatsapp messages. Sexual harassment at schools worsens, learners and teachers are targeted

It is not only children who are sexually harassed by teachers, because there are also hundreds of incidents of teaching staff harassed by pupils.

During the past financial year, the Department of Education dealt with 633 cases where teachers were harassed.

In a series of social media posts, warnings have been issued to all those guilty of the crime, but experts say the government’s actions speak of a reluctance to resolve the crisis.

According to a report to the parliamentary committee, 32 teachers were fired because of their involvement in sexual harassment, of which there are several incidents of rape.

Of all the incidents brought against teachers, only 101 cases were subject to disciplinary hearing, of which only 67 were found guilty.

Concerns have been expressed about the large increase in incidents while action against the culprits is only a small percentage.

No wonder Lesufi wants to place pupils in Afrikaans schools – Gauteng Education accused of failing pupils by allowing ‘shocking’ school conditions

The Democratic Alliance (DA) on Monday said the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) was failing pupils by allowing poor conditions to persist in schools.

The DA’s shadow MEC for infrastructure development and property management in the province, Alan Fuchs, made the statement following an oversight visit to the Apex Primary School in Lenasia. Fuchs visited the school with councillor Dave Dewes.

“This is not the first complaint about this particular school or the first site visit. In January of this year, the DA’s shadow MEC for education in Gauteng, Khume Ramulifho MPL, together with the former constituency head, and councillors, visited the school but were denied entry,” said Fuchs.

“This obstructive attitude by the school management and the poor state of the school was reported to the GDE, which responded by undertaking to deal with the concerns raised.”

The government’s grand move to have “progressed” matric pupils write their exams over two years has bombed – only 8% passed

The results of these pupils, who were pushed into matric after failing grade 11 more than once, were disclosed to the Sunday Times by the department of basic education last week.

SA’s latest matric pass rate is 8%. It was achieved by “progressed” pupils — those pushed into grade 12 after failing grade 11 more than once — and who were given two years to write matric.

Of the 78,363 of these pupils who wrote their final school exams in November and June, 6,320 passed.

Education experts who spoke to the Sunday Times this week said the pupils had been set up for failure because the plan was based on an incorrect assumption that a lowered workload would lead to better results.

Education MEC blames overaged learners for violence in schools – We fully agree! The ANC is finally seeing the truth, now do something about it!

The North West MEC for education, Mmaphefo Matsemela, said overage learners perpetuate bullying and gangsterism in schools.

This is despite research showing that there are many factors that contribute to bullying and gangsterism in schools.

Matsemela was speaking at a roadshow attended by principals and school governing bodies at the Vaal Reefs Technical High School, in Orkney, last month. In a statement released afterwards, the department recorded her as saying that: “Bullying and gangsterism is necessitated by overaged learners in schools”.

She went on to say: “We should not allow over aged learners to attend school with young learners. Children will be admitted to school according to their age. School governing bodies should be responsible in monitoring the admission policy of their schools. They should regularise admission of learners in schools.”

Perspective: The nasty truth about SA’s failed education policy set by the ANC regime

The Liberals has launched a campaign to try the failed education policy of the new SA at the door of Doctor Verwoerd’s policy.

The closest truth of that campaign is that the predictable legacy of cultural mixing and ill-considered equality has already come true –

Millions of pupils leave SA schools functionally illiterate.

The lies that are spread under the campaign’s banner include:

Only one in three schools has a library.

Mathematics and reading skills outcomes failed.

Almost half of 2007 Grade 1s did not write matric in 2018.

Only 28% of people over 20 have completed high school.

Among the 25% poorest schools, less than 1 in 100 matrics will be awarded a distinction.

The unbridled destruction and vandalism of schools continues in South Africa and already costs the taxpayer millions of Rands – Yet the Afrikanas insist on quality education and free education while continuing their looting

During the December holidays at least 27 schools in the Western Cape were damaged by thieves and vandals.

Copper pipes, electrical cables and computer equipment are the most important of the stolen goods. The damage is estimated at R600,000. Vandalism continues despite increased security at schools.

Many schools in the rest of the country also suffered, and one newly built school, which was opened at the beginning of this year, also suffered.

It is worrying that the Afrikanas steal, destroy and plunder everything in our country. Yet, they are the first to get upset when quality education is not available and insist on free education. When the facilities and children’s aids are freely available they broke it  n down, loot and even burn it in some cases. It’s just another proof that they don’t think beyond their noses. At the end of the day, the community and children is suffering from their stupidity.

Does MEC for Education really have our children’s best interests at heart – Lesufi is going to leave 14 000 learners stranded- Latest action by the department is contrary to the Constitution which clearly states that every person has the right to basic education

The FF Plus was shocked to learn that the Gauteng Department of Education announced earlier on 15 January 2019, that learners who still do not have a place at a school only have until this Friday 18 January 2019, to accept the placements offered by the Department.

This threat serves as proof that the MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, does not care about the future of the children in the province.

If Lesufi really did have our children’s best interests at heart and if he really was concerned about their education and training, he would not have allowed his Department to broadcast such threats.

The Department did not perform its duty to ensure that every child in Gauteng has been offered a space for learning at a school. If Lesufi had done his job like he was supposed to, enough schools would have been built in the last five years and we would not have this crisis on hand where there are 14 000 learners who will most probably have nowhere
