The Transvaal Agricultural Union (TAU SA) has said it is not convinced that the ANC government realizes the difference between agriculture and social welfare. This comes after the Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Thoko Didiza, announced that 135,117 hectares of state land have been “transferred” (30 year lease) to 275 farmers this year – but young people, women and people with disabilities will get preference.
