NO SABOTAGE AT ESKOM – POWER GRID IN SA FACES TOTAL COLLAPSE

Now the truth comes out, and it is not what Ramaphosa told you . Ramaphosa told the country this past Wednesday that sabotage was the reason for phase 6 loadshedding and it happened when an unspecified instrument was disconnected from one of the boilers at the Tutuka power station and that this led to the loss of as much as 2000MW of power.

But in an investigation by Rapport this statement was found not to be true.

The truth is a lack of planning and maintenance of power stations, especially the boilers. Rapport has spoken to both an energy expert, Mike Rossouw, and Solidarity who has many members in that sector and the true state of Eskom was revealed by them. The loss of 2 units at Tutuka power station, where Ramaphosa said sabotage is to blame, has more logical reasons and it boils down to a lack of maintenance.

#Rollingblackouts – To prevent further damages Eskom announce Phase 2 load shedding for Friday

South Africans will have to prepare for more power outages this weekend after Eskom announces that Phase 2 load shedding will take effect from 09:00 to 23:00 Friday. According to their latest statement, the bankrupt state entity says their system is still vulnerable.

Although the power grid units are recovering as scheduled, they also lost additional operating units on Thursday.

“Load shedding is essential throughout the night and all day Friday to prevent further short circuits and capacity to pump water reserves for us.”

The goal is to reduce unplanned short circuits to 9,500 MW to enable them to minimize and stop load shedding next week.

“Regardless of the phase, we want to remind our customers that load shedding is no cause for panic as the system is successfully controlled.”

Countrywide Aarto a recipe for even more bloodshed and chaos on our roads – If Johannesburg and Pretoria could not implement it successfully, it is highly unlikely that it could work anywhere else

Aarto (the Bill on the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences) will certainly not combat lawlessness on our country’s roads as the Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula, argues. On the contrary, it is just a recipe for even more chaos and bloodshed.

Aarto has already failed in Gauteng and the system has moved away from its initial objective of ensuring better policing of our roads with the aim of making them safer.

It has now become less of a criminal system and more of an administrative system and still it is failing due to, among other things, staff shortages at the Road Traffic Infringement Agency (RTIA). Additionally, courts that can adjudicate Aarto cases have not been established.

The biggest problem with Aarto is that it is a complex system and the country is not ready nor able to implement it.

For 4 years as second in command to Jacob Zuma as deputy-president he never saw any corruption, he never heard of any corruption, and he never spoke against corruption? Who is he trying to fool?

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) on Monday published a scathing open letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa, criticising him for being “in the belly of the beast which was the [Jacob] Zuma administration”.

In a statement issued on the IFP’s official website, Mkhuleko Hlengwa, IFP national spokesperson, writes: “Utterances attributed to you that in Davos you spoke of ‘nine wasted years’ under Mr Zuma have taken me aback with a sense of shock as they are said with a very opportunistic view to distance yourself from the grave realities of those years, particularly for the poor majority as we saw everything from grand-scale corruption to the collapse of the economy to state capture.
