R84 million Free State Cuban Technical Advisers Program died a sudden death without solving the “water problem”

The Secretary-General of the ANC, and former Prime Minister of the Free State, Ace Magashule’s plan to bring Cuban engineers to South Africa to solve the Free State’s “water problems”, then wasted millions of Rand.

The so-called Cuban engineers were welcomed with a huge ceremony when they came here from Cuba for four years.

Of the 37 Cubans, who spent them as engineers, only three remain in the Free State.

Mgasjule’s impressive “Free State Cuban Technical Advisers Program, which cost taxpayers more than R84 million, then died, like so many other projects, in sudden death without the” water problem “being solved.

The eminent engineers, whose qualifications are not recognized in South Africa, also had to see that service delivery in the Free State municipalities was increased, could not make do with the ANC workers, and no positive results were achieved.

Taxpayers fork out millions for 703 vacant state-owned buildings

The poor management of state-owned buildings costs the country’s taxpayers millions of rands annually.
The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure owns about 81,000 buildings, 703 of which are vacant. Only the property tax on these unused buildings amounted to R36 million in the 2018/19 financial year.

In addition, there is a major backlog with the maintenance of buildings and it is estimated to cost about R74 billion to fully renovate all the buildings.

To aggravate the problem, various government departments’ monthly rents are outstanding for a period of longer than five years. This amount is about R600 million. Treasury owes itself R127m in arrears.

If the Justice, Correctional Services and Higher Education Departments can pay their rent, the other departments can do so.

New R28.6 billion project at Ethekwini Municipality just another initiative for ANC government to waste money

Another failed ANC project under the guise of the Khawuleza Model launched at the expense of impoverished taxpayers. The ruling ANC president, Cyril Ramaphosa, declared that the Khawuleza municipality and environment is the place to create jobs.

He launched the so-called metropolitan version for the Khawuleza District Development Model, which is believed to also improve communication between the government and the departments.

Ethekwini Metropolitan Municipality is expected to get R28.6 billion to initiate the Khawuleza project.

The district’s model will apparently receive the huge amount over the 5-year period for the project, and funding planning and spending will be integrated with the governments.

De Lille reveals that SA taxpayers are paying R70 Million annually to house members of parliament (MPs) at official residences in Cape Town

Patricia De Lille is the Public Works and Infrastructure Minister. She shared how the state had paid around R750 million over the fourth and fifth parliament to house MPs at the three parliamentary villages in the province.

The expenditure occurred between 2009 and 2019. De Lille was responding to a written parliamentary question from Democratic Alliance (DA) MP Willem Faber.

The government was said to have coughed out around R380 million on the three villages. The residents are in Acacia Park, Pelican Park, and Laboria Park.

The amount was paid in five years, from the fourth parliament between 2009 and 2014. For the fifth parliament, the state paid another R360 million.

What taxpayers are paying for
The costs calculated in the amount are: water and electricity, rates and taxes, management of the three villages, construction of new buildings, maintenance, and buying furniture and appliances.

ANC regime’s NHI plan back in the news – according to spokesman’s plan will be wisely implemented – As if the ANC knows what wisely means

The ANC’s National Health Plan is back in the news after the party’s spokesman said the scheme would be implemented with “prudence”.

With the announcement, without offering new details, the ANC once again raised the smoke clouds, doctors who are busy packing them to leave the country.

The ultimate cost, when the plan is fully operational, could amount to as much as R400 billion a year, which the planners say will only result in a “small increase” in income tax for individuals.

Experts say the ANC has come up with an idea that will not work as long as hospitals and health clinics are in the current chaotic state, unemployment is still at 30%, and the country’s expertise in managing the comprehensive service, still missing.

The promise that the Plan will be implemented gradually is only a root for taxpayers, and when failures take its toll, reversal is not possible.

National Health Plan is going to need at least R180bn to R250bn for 12-month spending – with SA’s faltering economy that’s a disproportionate amount

Implementing a National Health Plan does not mean, like Eskom, demanding a R50 billion from the government’s money it has collected from taxpayers.

The reality is, too, that it cannot come into effect by making a slight upward adjustment in the personal taxes levied.

The reality is that at least R180bn to R250bn will be required to be ready for a 12-month period.

Of course, South Africa with its poor economy cannot run after it because France and Japan have such medical plans, which is not an unemployment figure of 30%, and there is no ignorance about how such a system manages and not operated.

South Africa is in a financial mess – junk status, and with it an inability to reduce unemployment and thus also violence and corruption.

Maybe the initiators come to mind – because 2026 is around the corner and the economic situation is not going to be corrected in the short time until the new plan is implemented.

Taxpayers forks out R5.4 million for absent civil servants who are currently sitting at home and doing absolutely nothing

Taxpayers have so far paid about R5.4 million on civil servants salaries who sit at home due to improper sickness or temporary disability leave in the past year and not doing any work at all. The largest amount of money was paid out by the Department of Environmental Affairs with a huge sum of R1,6 million.

The information was recently disclosed in parliamentary responses recently in response to a series of official questions asked by IFP MPs over a period of time. Barbara Creecy, Minister of Environmental Affairs, Forestry and Fisheries, acknowledged that there are currently five employees at her department, on approved disability leave due to injury or illness. One of the officials has been suspended but is still receiving a salary. According to her, the department has so far paid out R1,6 million.

The boisterous leader of the Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) has slammed those who say he is not fit to govern South Africa.

Malema urged all to look at his impeccable records in the past, so they can see that he can do better if given the opportunity.

He noted that he would fire useless ministers that are costing the taxpayers so much to maintain and lead a South Africa of our dreams.

The EFF is up for a grueling 2019, as the EFF is correct in targeting younger voters and the majority of poor blacks who believe they can get land should the party take over the government.

EFF’s first attempt at the polls in the 2014 general elections saw the party gain 6% of the lion’s share of votes.

Independent polls by market research company Ipsos have the EFF coming in at 7% for this year’s elections.

Members of parliament accuse Eskom of holding SA hostage and trying to enforce money from taxpayers who are already suffering from the heavy debt of the ANC government

Zukiswa Rantho, who led the parliamentary inquiry into Evkom’s problems, made up the former Eskom boss, Matshelo Koko, in parliament as a “servant” of the Gupta’s.

She pointed him out as a liar and a possible criminal.

Several speakers in parliament once again pointed out that Eskom is holding the country hostage and trying to enforce money from taxpayers who are already suffering from the heavy debt of the ANC government.

Why is Telkom donating R1 Million to the EFF? Why are tax payers being indirectly forced to fund this far-left political party?

Telkom is funded by the state, therefore, funded by you and me through taxes. Furthermore, the state is run by the ANC, this would mean that the ANC is indirectly using our taxes to fund the EFF. What is going on?
